The Farmer’s Work

The sun is quickly setting,
Most of the work is done.
The day is finally ending,
And the night is almost come.

The cattle enjoy the last few rays,
The grass is green and good.
They've barely seen the sun in days,
It has rained more than it should.

The farmer filled the rings with hay,
The feed has all been eaten.
He has worked so hard today,
But his list is almost beaten.

Tomorrow will start with its own new list,
New days bring their own circumstances.
Taking the day with each new twist,
Living like there are no second chances.

Getting all in, getting both feet wet;
Not just in farm and work, but with God.
Each day is on your mark, get set;
Remember the way is narrow, not broad.

A farmer always has work at hand,
But you and I, as Christians, do as well.
Each of us have to follow the command,
Our job is to go to all and tell.

Matthew 28:19-20 ESV 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

  3. Heather, whether you know it or not, your words really do make a difference in my life. Your messages come…

Giving the Gift

We can’t do anything on the farm in all the rain and mud! So we are taking the time to Spotlight our friends and their ministry (with their permission, of course). This is definitely a sobering topic, but we urge you to consider how you can help. Please take the time to read, share and SUPPORT!

Who doesn’t love to receive a gift? Who are we kidding? Everyone loves to receive a gift! But do you know that giving the gift is the best part? Have you ever given a gift that you knew the receiver was just going to love and you waited and watched with excitement for them to open and see? Wasn’t that the best?

Now think about it…..It’s that gift, that in order to give it, it will cost you dearly. It didn’t cost you time or money, it cost you your life.

We the People

Have you ever tried to do everything right only for people to see the small mistakes you made or even make up accusations?

Have you ever tried to be a better person and leave your past behind only for people to constantly remind you of who you were and what you’ve done?

How did it make you feel?
Didn’t you wish that someone would take your side, stand up for you? Didn’t you want someone to defend you because you knew that you just couldn’t defend yourself?

Imagine how hurt you feel. Imagine how sad and lonely you feel. Picture yourself standing there under the weight of all of the loneliness, hurt and frustration.
