Have you ever watched cattle being let into a new pasture? Cattle people will definitely know what I’m talking about here. The cattle can barely eat because they are constantly moving, just trying to get in front. They hardly stop to graze before they are walking again, getting ahead of those around them.

I stood and watched the other day as a group was moved into a fresh, green pasture. The grass was dark green and thick. It had grown tall and blowed in the wind. To me, it looked like a cow would be able to stand in one place for hours and eat without moving much. Instead, they walked and even ran, all over the pasture.

Our Kids are Mostly Grown but Life is Still Busy

Our children are mostly grown at this point. Mostly. There are no toys lying all over the house. Clothes and video games are what lay around now. Screams of fighting over toys and the giggles of working it out are long gone…..

Running Out of Gas

Cars, trucks, four wheelers, and tractors all need gas! Then there are chainsaws and lawn mowers and everything else in between, all needing gas! Occasionally, like this morning, one of them runs out of gas.

Once it runs out of gas, the rider is stranded. Thankfully this morning, he wasn’t too far from the house. Also thankfully, it was the four wheeler and not the tractor. Some things running out of gas are a lot easier to get cranked back up than others! Tractors and bulldozers for example, take lots of work to “bleed the lines” and all that stuff!

Running out of gas can be time consuming and costly!
