A Hunting We Will Go!

We’ve all been doing a little hunting here lately around the house. In the afternoon, after the cows are fed and the work is done, we try to sneak away to the stand for an hour or so, looking for the ever-elusive white tail.

We are probably what some would call “a hunting family.” We all hunt; some more than others. Our kids even enjoy taking their friends and sharing the experience with others.

We have hunted in warm weather, cold weather , rain and sun. (In south Mississippi, we call that last week!) Always hunting with the hope of seeing “the big one.” I personally, am not the cold and rainy type of hunter, but I do enjoy spending time in the stand!

Giving the Gift

We can’t do anything on the farm in all the rain and mud! So we are taking the time to Spotlight our friends and their ministry (with their permission, of course). This is definitely a sobering topic, but we urge you to consider how you can help. Please take the time to read, share and SUPPORT!

Who doesn’t love to receive a gift? Who are we kidding? Everyone loves to receive a gift! But do you know that giving the gift is the best part? Have you ever given a gift that you knew the receiver was just going to love and you waited and watched with excitement for them to open and see? Wasn’t that the best?

Now think about it…..It’s that gift, that in order to give it, it will cost you dearly. It didn’t cost you time or money, it cost you your life.

We the People

Have you ever tried to do everything right only for people to see the small mistakes you made or even make up accusations?

Have you ever tried to be a better person and leave your past behind only for people to constantly remind you of who you were and what you’ve done?

How did it make you feel?
Didn’t you wish that someone would take your side, stand up for you? Didn’t you want someone to defend you because you knew that you just couldn’t defend yourself?

Imagine how hurt you feel. Imagine how sad and lonely you feel. Picture yourself standing there under the weight of all of the loneliness, hurt and frustration.
