Ever feel like giving up? Or course you do. Everyone does at some point. But we are commanded in God’s Word, not to give up, but to stand. Stand. And not just stand, but fight as well.
One of our favorite movie series, is the Avengers. And if there was a favorite Avenger, it just might be Captain America. No, this blog post isn’t really farm related, but as my pastor was preaching yesterday, I couldn’t help but think of one of those movies and I wanted to share. Captain America is known for standing up and not backing down from a fight. Even before he became “Captain America “ he refused to back down from a fight even though he was smaller and not as strong.
In this particular movie clip, Captain America is standing for and protecting his lifelong friend. He is standing for what he believes is right and protecting what he believes is the truth. Nothing could change his mind, not even another friend. He is willing to fight, even to death, for what he believes in. (Spoiler Alert – he wins….)

Have you ever watched cattle being let into a new pasture? Cattle people will definitely know what I’m talking about here. The cattle can barely eat because they are constantly moving, just trying to get in front. They hardly stop to graze before they are walking again, getting ahead of those around them.
I stood and watched the other day as a group was moved into a fresh, green pasture. The grass was dark green and thick. It had grown tall and blowed in the wind. To me, it looked like a cow would be able to stand in one place for hours and eat without moving much. Instead, they walked and even ran, all over the pasture.
